Young Geezers to play at Lacawac Sanctuary
LAKE WALLENPAUPACK, PA The Young Geezers, the folk-music trio of Dan Townsend, Robert Rap Parsons and Tony Kearney, will perform a free acoustic concert on Sunday, May 8 at 3:00 p.m. inside Lacawac Sanctuarys historic carriage house.
Kearney, a talented and long-time folksinger who plays the guitar and mandolin, was the founding member of the Northeast Pennsylvania Folklore Society. He has been performing folk music for over 30 years. Parsons and Townsend are professors at the University of Scranton and play music as an avocation.
Prior to the concert, Pat Walters will lead a free nature walk in search of hummingbirds in the native plant garden. Participants will meet at the sanctuarys Visitors Center at 1:00 to 2:30 p.m.
