Bulldogs and Liberty shorten match in face of frigid winds
By RICHARD A. ROSS
LIBERTY, NY High up on the Vista Golf Course at Grossingers, the weather should be balmy this time of year, and golfers should hope to hone their games without having to worry about the added exigencies of winter-like weather.
The operative word is should.
On April 28 the cloudy skies gave way to showers and a howling frigid wind as Sullivan West and Liberty tried to get through the front nine. They had to stop at the fifth hole and call it a day.
The lead group, including Sullivan Wests Sean Semenetz, Justin Armstrong and Ben Kleiner headed for the clubhouse, but those further back on the course never even got to the fifth hole.
