Help residents make the county beautiful

SULLIVAN COUNTY, NY — Contribute to the beauty of Sullivan County at the 17th annual litter pluck on Saturday, May 14 from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

The Sullivan County Department of Public Works will provide free disposal of the roadside litter. Bill Cutler will share information on recycling.

“Litter pluck is vital to this county,” commented George Cooke, litter pluck chairperson. A sign that litter pluck is having an impact on the community, is the recent growth in Adopt-A-Road programs in all of the towns. This means that roads will be maintained all year. Many people are opting to Adopt-A-Road in the memory of a loved one.
