JOHN ALVAREZ
NARROWSBURG, NY Joseph Alvarez of Narrowsburg, died on Sunday, April 10, 2005 in West Palm Beach, FL. He was 79.
The son of the late Frank and Caroline Barcella Alvarez, he was born August 24, 1925 in New York, NY.
He worked as a truck driver for the Narrowsburg Lumber Company for 44 years before retiring. He was a veteran of the US Army, having served during WWII as a PFC, a member of the Company C 17th Armored Infantry Battalion and he received the Purple Heart with Cluster. He was also a member of the Narrowsburg Fire Department, having served as a past chief and a member of the Tusten Lions Club.
He is survived by his wife, Elaine, at home; one daughter, Linda Williams and her husband Michael of Edgewater, FL; one brother: Tony Alvarez of North Carolina; two granddaughters, Heather Engleer of Landisville, NJ and Samantha Elliott of Edgewater, FL; five great grandchildren; and four step children, Barbara, Carol, Bill and John; and her five step grandchildren and two step great grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his first wife, Laura Deter Alvarez, who passed away October 28, 1998.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 14, 2005 from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. and Friday, April 15, 2005 from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at the Rasmussen Funeral Home in Narrowsburg.
Services will be held on Friday, April 15 at 11:00 a.m. at the Rasmussen Funeral Home with the Reverend Paul Hagedorn officiating.
Interment will be in the Glen Cove Cemetery in Narrowsburg, NY.

DORIS B. (JOHNSTON) EICHLIN
HONESDALE, PA Doris B. (Johnston) Eichlin, a resident of the Ellen Memorial Health Care Center since 1997, died on April 5, 2005 following an illness. She was 84.
The daughter of the late Roy J. and Bessie M. Lewis Johnston, she was born in Lebanon Township.
She worked as a sales clerk for G.C. Murphy Co. and Horns Clothing in Washington, NJ until retirement. She was an avid seamstress and cook and enjoyed making her own clothing. She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Washington, NJ.
She was predeceased by her husband of 55 years, Arthur Roy Eichlin; her grandson, Kevin Ulmer; three brothers; and one sister.
She is survived by her daughter, Carol Ulmer of Tafton, PA; her grandchildren, Karl, Kimberly and Kyle; and four great grandchildren.
Services were held at the DeVoe Funeral Service on Tuesday, April 12 with the Reverend Doug Spencer of the United Methodist Church in Washington, NJ officiating.
Interment is in the St. James Lutheran Cemetery in Phillipsburg, NJ.

RON ISROELIT
LOS ANGLES, PA Ron Isroelit, a former resident of Hawley, PA, died at his home recently from cancer. He was 61.
The son of William and Beatrice Isroelit, he was born in Harrisburg on December 12, 1943.
He founded RBI Communications, a creative advertising agency located first in Hawley and then in Honesdale, in 1978. He created and produced advertising campaigns for The Dime Bank (Its your dime), A.M.Skier Agency, the Stourbridge Line and the Settlers Inn.
He is survived by his wife, Betty Isroelit; his children, Todd and Sean Isroelite and Beth and Mark McGroarty; and three grandchildren.
He maintained close personal and business ties in the area even after moving his primary residence to Los Angeles to manage a range of Southern California-based clients. He and his wife/business partner, Betsy, maintained an RBI office in Hawley and often visited their home on Fawn Lake.
In 1978, Isroelit produced the first commercial to use digital effects for San Diegos KFMB. He also coined the terms superstore, no hassle, and hassle free.
An avid movie historian and collector, Isroelit produced a fund-raising video that helped raise more than $50 million for the expansion of the Motion Picture Country House and Hospital in Woodland Hills, California, which provides housing, support and medical care for motion picture employees unable to care for themselves.
He played a vital role in the establishment of Seal Rock, an educational preserve in San Diego for the protection of Marine mammals.
Services were held on March 21 at Mount Sinai Memorial Park in the Hollywood Hills.
In honor of Isroelits affection for the area and his interest in film and video, the family has asked friends and associates to donate to the Wayne County Public Librarys video and DVD collection.
MARTIN J. SKIP KLEIM
HAWLEY, PA Martin J. Skip Keim, a lifelong resident of Hawley, died at the Mercy Hospital in Scranton on April 10, 2005. He was 77.
The son of the late John and Minnie Knober Keim, he was born in Hawley.
He worked as a school bus driver for the Wallenpaupack Area School district prior to his retirement. He was a member of the National Rifle Association and the North American Hunting Club.
He was predeceased by his wife, Doris (Williams) Keim who passed in 2000.
He is survived by his daughter, Karen Rice of Paupack, PA; three grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of ones choice in the memory of Martin J. Keim.
PAMELA J. WESTBROOK
SPARROWBUSH, NY Pamela J. Westbrook, a resident of Sparrowbush and a lifelong area resident, died on Saturday, April 9, 2005 at Bon Secours Community Hospital in Port Jervis, NY. She was 56.
The daughter of the late Lenny H. and Freida Muller Race, she was born February 9, 1946 in Utica, NY. She was raised by her adopted parents, the late Ernest and Emma Feltman Goodrich.
She worked as a seamstress for Andmore Sportswear in Port Jervis and was a member of the Sparrowbush United Methodist Church and attended the Walton Baptist Church. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary Tri-State Naval Ship # 7241 in Port Jervis and a talented crafter. She enjoyed giving her homemade crafts to her friends and organizations.
She is survived by her husband, John W. Westbrook; one daughter, Sherry Finch of Deposit; four sons, Donald and Clifford Finch of Walton and Michael Charles and Warren Donald Finch of California; three sisters, Linda Race of New York, Sheila Meeker of Stamford, Florida and Robin Race of Seattle, Washington; two brothers, Charles Race of Seattle, Washington and Charles Goodrich and his wife Gail of Loomis Brook, NY; eleven grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and several great nieces and nephews.
Memorial services will be announced at a later time.
Interment will be private.
