Library to hold pumpkin seed party

GRAHAMSVILLE, NY — Young gardeners from kindergarten through third grade are invited to enjoy a morning of stories, planting and fun at the Daniel Pierce Library’s Pumpkin Seed Party on Saturday, April 23 from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at the United Methodist Church Hall.

The special pumpkin seeds will be donated by Bill Brustman, the 2004 winner of the Giant Pumpkin Party’s Giant Pumpkin Growing Contest. After the party, the children may take their seed pots home, where they can later transplant the seedlings into their own pumpkin patch in the back yard. This year, the 20th annual Giant Pumpkin Party on October 1 will offer a children’s pumpkin growing contest.
