‘Good News!’ at Tri-Valley School

GRAHAMSVILLE, NY — The musical “Good News!” comes to the stage on Friday, March 18 and Saturday March 19 at 7:00 p.m. at Tri-Valley.

“Good News!” takes place at Tait College, a school where football is the most important sport and the big game is coming up. Everyone has stopped to watch the star athlete, Tom Marlowe, practice, except one girl who is oblivious to all of this, Connie Lane. Connie is asked to help Tom pass an astronomy test. If Tom doesn’t pass the test, then he can’t play in the big game on Saturday. Things get interesting when the football star and the tutor fall for each other. The football coach and the astronomy teacher rekindle their own college romance. Can the love of these couples survive if the team doesn’t win the big game?

Over 60 students are involved in the cast, theatre orchestra and crew. Directing this year’s musical is Regina Hartman, Tri-Valley Central General music teacher; leading the Theatre Orchestra is Matt Weyant, secondary school instrumental band teacher; and handling the role of producer is Keith Edwards, elementary school teacher.
