Special needs soccer program to hold registration

LIBERTY, NY— The Liberty Youth Soccer Organization will host a new soccer program aimed at providing a quality soccer experience to children whose physical or mental disabilities make it hard to participate in mainstream teams. The VIP (Very Important Players) league is open to all school aged children.

Registration will be held on Thursday, March 17 from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. and on Saturday, March 19 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon at the Liberty Presbyterian Church. All players must provide a birth certificate, and everyone will play; there will be no tryouts. The cost per child is $25 to pay for eight weeks of soccer, insurance and Soccer Now magazines. Registration forms are available in advance on soccer.org.

All games will be played on Saturday mornings in Liberty, beginning September 10. Adult buddies are needed.
