Musical winter escape
TENNANAH LAKE, NY The Weekend of Chamber Music (WCM) offers a musical escape from gray winter days on March 6 at 2:00 p.m. at the Big Twig Recording Studio and Gallery. Performing a series of solos and duets by J.S. Bach will be French pianist Evelyne Crochet and flutist Judith Pearce. Tickets are $15 for adults, $12 for seniors over age 65, and free for students and children 18 and under.
Musical to her fingertips and endowed with an impeccable keyboard technique, said The London Times of Evelyne Crochet. She is hailed for her 2002 recording of the complete J. S. Bach Well-Tempered Clavier.
A rare and beautiful performer, said The New Yorker of Judith Pearce. She founded the WCM in 1994.

A salon musicale, the first benefit of the WCMs Catskills-and-beyond will be held on March 13 at 3:30 p.m. at a private home in Brooklyn. Featuring violinist Anna Lim, pianist Marija Stroke and flutist Judith Pearce, the event will be dished out along side a buffet-style feast with wine and dessert. Admission is $60 per person.
