Eldred school board member Marsha Hunter dies

ELDRED, NY — H. Marsha Hunter, 58, of Barryville died on February 10 at Morristown Hospital in New Jersey of complications resulting from recent surgery.

She is survived by her husband, Stephen Glasser, of Barryville and their son Seth Glasser. See her obituary on page 12.

Hunter was a two-term member of the Eldred Central School Board of Education, winning re-election to a second five-year term in 2001.

Her passing was memorialized at the board’s meeting on the evening of her death, where the district agreed to seek candidates to fill the remaining months of her 2005 term before a candidate for the 2005-06 vacancy is selected in May elections.
