Paupak Bucks ice Spartans

WALLENPAUPACK, PA — On January 16 at the Ice Box in Pittston, the Paupack Bucks tightened their grip on first place in the Northeast Pennsylvania Scholastic Hockey League by shutting out the Valley West Spartans 9-0.

After a big first period, the Bucks offense went into cruise control and coasted to the easy victory. Paupack got goals from six different players with a balanced offensive attack that seemed capable of producing goals at will. At the defensive end of the rink, sophomore Clayton Lehrian was perfect in goal, stopping all Spartan shots on goal. Defensemen Cole Lukacinsky, Kevin Alderfer, Dan Osborn and Patrick Zimich limited the Valley West offense to just 12 chances.
