Get winterized at Lacawac

LAKE WALLENPAUPACK, PA—Snow shoe, “shoe-shoe” (walk) or cross-country ski at the Lacawac Sanctuary on Sunday, January 9 from 1:00 to 4:00 pm.

The afternoon’s events will begin with a variety of hot soups and bread, coffee or hot chocolate and desserts in the lodge.

Beginning at 2:00 p.m., Jen Naugle will lead a walk and note features of the habitat; Janice Poppich, Lacawac’s director, will guide the snow shoers while sharing winter survival skills; and Sam Jackson will ease skiers along the woods road from the Lodge to the Coulter Visitors Center.
