Putting the tradition on ice
LIVINGSTON MANOR, NYThe Livingston Manor Rotary Ice Carnival has been a tradition for close to five decades and weather permitting, this year the carnival will take place on January 15 and 16.
On January 15 the carnival kicks off in the morning with a snow sculpture contest for local school children in grades six through twelve. Community residents and businesses can also participate by making snow sculptures in front of their store or front yard. Prominent members of the community as well as media will judge the contest.
The fun continues into Saturday night with a dance for the youngsters complete with the crowning of a new Ice Carnival King and Queen.

Programs especially for the young at EagleFest
NARROWSBURG, NYEagleFest organizer Yoke Bauer DiGiorgio of Natures Art LLC has announced that this years festival will feature programs especially for the young.
The programs will begin with a presentation of Live Birds of Prey by Jean Stamey of The Raptor Trust. Her responsibilities at the rehabilitation center include hands-on care of injured and orphaned wild birds and her presentation will include one or two owls.

DIGit Media Arts Exposition calls for submissions
NARROWSBURG, NYThe Delaware Valley Arts Alliance (DVAA), Arts Council for Sullivan County, NY is pleased to announce that the 2005 DIGit Media Arts Exposition will be held from April 22 to May 1 in Narrowsburg.
DIGit is a program conceived to encourage creative and technical excellence and experimentation by individual artists, collaborators and production firms who use digital tools at some point in workflow. DVAA is calling for entries for works in four categories: Narrative, Documentary, Animation and Experimental/Hybrid.
