Hey, they could have lost by less than eight points and still made it to the dance. All that was needed was what Yogi Berra refers to as some “déjà vu all over again.”

MARATHON, NY—In their last meet before the Orange County League meet scheduled for October 29 and the Section Nine Class C meet set for November 5, the Sullivan West Bulldogs traveled to the Marathon Invitational on October 23 to compete against a huge field of runners.

Mighty Eldred buries Roscoe: Chester’s next!

ELDRED, NY—Make no mistake about it—this Yellowjackets team is going to do everything in its power to earn a berth in this year’s Section Nine, Class D title game at Dietz Stadium in Kingston. If they can marshal all of their fervor and aggressiveness and combine those elements with a razor-sharp execution on both sides of the ball on October 30, they stand an excellent chance of beating defending Class D champion Chester and finally reaching the vaunted destination they have so long sought.
