Hawley falls for antiques and trains

HAWLEY, PA — Hawley welcomes the fall season with the 18th annual Hawley Fall Foliage Antique Show & Sale on October 8, 9, and 10. The fire department’s semi-annual train show and sale will be held on October 9.

The antiques show and sale will featuring examples of some of America’s finest Brillaint Period cut glass; vintage clothes and textiles; fine porcelain and pottery; jewelry; books, advertising, and paper items; furniture from various periods in a variety of styles and woods; paintings and prints; and more. The event will take place at the Ritz Theatre on Keystone Street.

The show will be open Friday, October 8th from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. with a gala patron’s preview featuring seasonal fare catered by the Settlers Inn at Bingham Park. A $6.00 donation per person is requested. On Saturday, October 9th the show will run from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and on Sunday, October 10th from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with an admission of $3.00 per person or $2.50 with discount cards available at area antiques shops and businesses. All proceeds benefit the Ritz Company Playhouse, Northeastern Pennsylvania’s longest running, all volunteer, non-profit community theatre.

The Hawley Fire Department’s semi-annual train show and sale will take place on Sunday, October 9 at the firehouse on Columbus Avenue (just off Route 6). There is a nominal admission with proceeds to benefit the fire company.
