Dips ’N Dogs is open for diners on Route 97

POND EDDY, NY —There is a new place along scenic Route 97 to stop for some food and refreshment.

While co-owner Van Petersen says Dips ’N Dogs has been serving customers since late June as the restaurant was being completed, on August 8, the eatery will be celebrating its grand opening.

Located in Lumberland’s Hillside section, Dips ’N Dogs has a ready weekend market at the nearby Pond Eddy bases of Landers and Kittatinny Canoes and Jerry’s Campground.

While the business may be seasonal to begin with, Petersen says his new restaurant and ice cream stand has lots of room to grow and was designed to be expanded.

For now, Dips ’N Dogs will serve hamburgers, hot dogs, sandwiches, salads, soft drinks and ice cream, all available in the air conditioned restaurant, at a front walk up window, or through a drive-up window. Phone orders can be dialed in, at 845/557-0002.

Dips ’N Dog is open every day, 11:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday, and from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. Friday through Sunday.
