Ishy’s Juice Bar to open

CALLICOON, NY — Ishy’s Juice Bar, located at 26 Upper Main Street in Calicoon, NY, will celebrate its grand opening on June 12 and 13.

Primarily an organic juice bar serving organic carrot juice with a choice of extra veggies, Ishy’s menu also includes its own brand of sorbet and gelatos, made fresh daily from seasonal fruits. Ishy’s also serves smoothies and yogurt shakes. Health conscious customers will be delighted to add to their drinks nutritional supplements like spirulina, flaxseed and bee pollen as well as medicinal herbs like echinacea and goldenseal.

The idea for Ishy’s came to the founder, Istuan L. Zsako, when he saw a small take-out window for rent right next to the Antique Center of Callicoon and the Callicoon Theatre. Thanks to his recent participation in the Brattleboro Food Co-op in southern Vermont, he has the background necessary to understand and appreciate the value of alternative choices for body and mind.
