Bulldogs division hopes go south after losses to ONeill

JEFFERSONVILLE, NY—After losing two out of three games against John S. Burke Catholic last week, Sullivan West was hoping to knock off Division IV leader James I. ONeill in a crucial three-game series. Another division loss for the Bulldogs would essentially eliminate the team from recapturing the Division IV title.

Last year the Bulldogs seemed to get the breaks when they needed them, but things have not been breaking right in 2004.

Mother nature ruins Bulldogs comeback

JEFFERSONVILLE, NY Play hard against this good team and keep your heads on defense, Bulldogs coach Mike Ellmauer said, encouraging his team prior to a league game against Class A Goshen.
Erin Rosenberger looked strong in the first inning, striking out leadoff batters Carly Jung and Krista Fasnacht. After Lauren Powell reached on an error, Rosenberger induced a fly-out by Raquel Gibson.

Eldred boys finish undefeated in league

ELDRED, NYYou could see it coming during indoor season. Frank Schorlings team was bonding together and making major progress. Though some track athletes were busy wrestling, like shot-putter and discus-thrower Tim Hallock, they were still getting themselves in peak condition for the grueling, compact outdoor competition.
Once the spring season began, the team showed itself to be confident and hardworking. They felt all along that they could beat all of their league rivals and knock off some big fish as well.
