Discover the night sky
MILANVILLE, PA Here in the Delaware Valley, far from smog and city lights, our night sky is a dazzling display of stars, planets and galaxies. Explore these heavenly bodies on Friday, May 14 at 9:00 p.m. at the Delaware Highlands Conservancys Butterfly Barn Nature Center.
Amateur astronomer, Al Schultheis will bring telescopes to share as he locates deep space objects, clouds of gas and light and galaxies thousands of light years away, and naturalist, Bill Yeaman, who managed the planetarium in Rock Creek Park, Washington, DC, will tell stories about the stars, constellations and planets.
This program is open to the public and is free of charge. If the sky is overcast, the program will be presented the following night, Saturday, May 15.
The conservancy is on the PA River Road one-mile south of Milanville. Look for the Conservancy sign on the river side of the road.
