I Love Narrowsburg Day held

NARROWSBURG, NY — There were flowers and bags of litter in evidence at the I Love Narrowsburg Day held at the library parking lot last Saturday, May 8.

Litterpluck, a plant swap, a bake sale and the kick-off of the “Welcome to Narrowsburg” Entryway Competition took up morning activities.

Throughout the morning, volunteers fanned out in the community picking up litter from the sides of roads.

The competition is an opportunity for residents to paint, plant, light or otherwise enhance their properties as part of the Sullivan County Renaissance Group’s competition later in the summer.

Numerous prizes to be awarded have been donated through the generosity of area businesses.

The group’s next event is Spruce-Up Day on Saturday, July 31 from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
