Music for string quartet and voice
SOUTH FALLSBURG, NY Chamber Music at St. Andrews will present a free concert with the Ecliptica String Quartet on Saturday, April 24 at 8:00 p.m. at St. Andrews Episcopal Church, 5277 State Route 42.
Performers include mezzo-soprano Laila Maria Salins, violinists Eriko Sato and Sarah Geller, violist Veronica Salas and cellist Lutz Rath.
Program:
Domenico Scarlatti (1685-1767): Salve Regina for voice and string quartet.
Victoria Bond (b. 1950): Molly Manybloom with Salins and string quartet with text from James Joyces Ulysses.
Maurice Ravel (1875-1937): String Quartet in F major (his only string quartet).
Although the performance is free, tickets may be picked up in advance the day of the concert from 12:00 noon to 5:00 p.m. or at 7:30 p.m. at the door. Each person may pick up two tickets. For more information call 845/292-8967.
Chamber Music at St. Andrews offers occasional free chamber concerts, performed by outstanding musicians.
