Grey Towers to explore eagle behavior

MILFORD, PA — Why do eagles migrate to the Delaware River every winter? How many eagles call this region home? How has this area helped bring the eagle back from its endangered status?

The USDA Forest Service will host a free slide presentation by the Eagle Institute to answer these and other questions on Saturday, November 8 at 7:00 p.m. at Grey Towers National Historic Landmark.

More than 150 eagles migrate to Upper Delaware River valley every winter in search of open water and undisturbed habitat. The Eagle Institute provides educational programs and manages a volunteer monitoring program in the Delaware River watershed in an effort to provide the safest and least intrusive eagle viewing experience.
