Total lunar eclipse approaches

EAST STROUDSBURG, PA — The East Stroudsburg University Astronomy Club and the university’s department of physics will hold a free open house at the campus observatory on Mary Street to view the total lunar eclipse on Saturday, November 8, weather permitting.

The observatory will open at 6:30 p.m. as the partial phase of the eclipse begins, and will stay open un the end of the total phase at 8:30 p.m. Observers will have the opportunity to view the moon through several telescopes, including a 16-inch computerized reflector telescope.
