Potters organize to host first annual festival

JEFFERSONVILLE, NY — The Potters of Sullivan County, formed by an array of clay artists who have opened studios in Sullivan County, have organized the first annual Pottery Festival, scheduled for Saturday, October 11 from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Starving Artist Gallery on Main Street.

A dozen potters, including Carolyn Duke and Ayla Maloney, will present examples of their unique styles, and they will offer a free pot of homemade chili to anyone who purchases a handmade chili bowl.

The Starving Artist Gallery will also sponsor performances of folk, bluegrass and jazz music throughout the day.
