Potluck party to open annual group exhibit

LAKE HUNTINGTON, NY — The Lake Huntington Center for the Arts, formerly  Nutshell Arts Center, will feature a group show of paintings, sculpture, photography and works on paper by artists from the area and beyond, including a painting in response to September 11, 2001 by Paul Vazquez. A reception and potluck party will open the exhibit on Saturday, October 4 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the center on Route 52.

Featured artists will include Armand Agresti, Patricia Catanzaro, Ellen Cibula, Eva Drizhal, Jennifer Finch, Joan Giordano, Peter Greene, Miriam Hernandez, Christopher Hughes, Richard Kline, Nancy Lew Lee, E. Morisot, Tom Noone, Pat Nugent, James Penedos, Valerie Perry, Juan Rigal, Allan Rubin, David Rudin, Charles Searles, Johan Sellenraad, Christopher Sippel, Fred J. Sklenar, Kathleen Spicer, Candy Spilner, Margo Spoerri, Paul Vazquez, Lucienne Weinberger, Barbara Zweig and others.

If Vazquez’s painting sells, the proceeds will benefit families of September 11 victims.

The show will be on display through October 19, and the gallery is open on Saturdays and Sundays from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m.
