MILANVILLE, PA — The Delaware Highlands Conservancy will host its seventh annual Meadow Party on Saturday, September 13 in a riverside meadow at the Yeaman farm, one mile south of Milanville on the River Road.

Environmental exhibits will offer information on an array of topics, including fly-tying, fly-fishing, water/wildlife conservation and invasive species. Amateur entomologist Kathy Kelchner will show her collection of live and mounted bugs and discuss how insects relate to each other and nature.

A children’s tent will present projects for kids of all ages, a puppet theater, door prizes, and an opportunity to explore the Delaware River and its aquatic life with Don Hamilton of the National Park Service.

The day’s musical entertainment, sponsored by the Dime Bank, will feature Rebecca Frezza and Big Truck, who return to the Meadow Party stage with original rock, pop, folk, and country children’s songs with hints of R&B and African pop.

Also, Atlantic Wave will perform traditional Irish music, song and dance with master fiddler Tony DeMarco. Of Irish and Italian decent, DeMarco is among the world’s leading exponents of the sophisticated County Sligo style of Irish fiddling. He is a recording artist who has performed with Celtic Thunder, The Kips Bay Ceili Band and Black 47. Enjoy vibrant jigs, reels and step dancing as well as beautifully sung Irish airs.

In keeping with tradition, the silent auction tent will be open for bids throughout the day, and a famous food buffet will open at 1:00 p.m.
