Ribbon cutting opens fall harvest market

BETHEL, NY — With the ribbon cutting, pictured below, at the new Bethel Woods
sign on the corner of Hurd Road and Route 17B, the fall harvest market season
was officially opened on August 31. The ribbon cutting was attended by notables
including Town of Bethel supervisor Alan Scott, Jonathan Drapkin of the Gerry
Foundation, Annelise Gerry, Herm Bressler, chairman of the board of the Gerry
Foundation, original Woodstocker Duke Devlin, candidate Aileen Gunther, and
stilt walkers Tannis Kowalchuck and Brett Keyser from NaCL. The fall harvest
festival featured craftspeople, farm fresh produce, music by John and Erin Slaver
of Liberty, NY and the Quintessence Alpaca Festival.
