Peace vigil continues

LIBERTY, NY — Members of Sullivan Peace and Justice gathered on Main Street in Liberty to continue their nearly one-year-long protest of the war in Iraq, the occupation of that country and the unconstitutionality of the PATRIOT Act.

The group has stood on Liberty street corners weekly since early last fall. A night of speakers, information and entertainment about the current threats to people’s rights and privacy will be held on September 13 at 6:30 p.m at the Liberty Senior Center at 119 North Main Street.
