KEITH A. CURRY

ORLANDO, FL — Keith A. Curry of Orlando, a construction worker and former long-time area resident, died Saturday, August 9, 2003 at his home. He was 50.

The son of Frieda Horton Curry French and the late Raymond Curry, he was born in Port Jervis, NY.

He is survived by his mother of Port Jervis; seven brothers, Robert Grant of Huguenot, James Grant of Afton, Lon Allan Curry of Melbourne, FL, John Raymond Curry of Hilliard, FL, Gary Bruce Curry of Junction City, KA, Harold Douglas French Jr. of Glen Spey, NY and Richard Arlyn French of Dingman’s Ferry, PA; four sisters, Colleen Sue Curry of Franklin, N.J., Wanda Jean Curry Kutzler of Hilliard, FL, Alice Marie Santos of Sinking Springs, PA, and Denise Michelle Wolford of Fogelsville, PA..

Cremation will be made at the H.G. Smith Crematory in Stroudsburg, Pa.

COLEMAN M. GABLE

NARROWSBURG, NY — Coleman M. Gable of Yeadon, PA and Narrowsburg, NY, died Wednesday, August 13, 2003 at Hahnemann Hospital in Philadelphia, PA. He was 96.

He was a police officer with the Philadelphia Police Department, having retired after 20 years of service. He also worked for Janney Montgomery-Scott Co. where he managed security, retiring after 20 years.

The son of Charles and Florence Mueller Gable, he was born on May 25, 1907 in Philadelphia, PA. He was married to Eleanor Hommel.

Survivors include his wife, Eleanor, at home, as well as many special relatives and friends.

ANGIOLINA LAFERLA

SHOHOLA, PA — Angiolina LaFerla died on July 29, 2003.

She was born on the island of Malta in 1912. She was predeceased by her husband Charles LaFerla.

She was a member of the Lackawaxen Township Volunteer Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary and a volunteer at the Lackawaxen Senior Citizen center.

She is survived by two daughters, Valerie Cocchi of Lackawaxen, PA and Diana Mazelli of Coral Springs, FL.

TERESA C. SPEISER

NARROWSBURG, NY — Teresa C. Speiser, retired owner of Swiss Import Shop in Union City, NJ and a resident of the area since 1971, died Wednesday, August 13, 2003 at St. Joseph’s Hospital - Hospice Care Unit, Wayne, NJ. She was 88.

The daughter of August and Theresa Von Atzigen Schmid, she was born on January 11, 1915 in Union Hill, N.J. She was married to the late Max Speiser, who passed away in 1987.

Speiser was a member of St. Anthony’s Roman Catholic Church in Yulan, NY as well as a member of AARP.

Survivors include one sister, Edith Bonsee of Weehawken, NJ; and one niece and three nephews. She was predeceased by one brother, August Schmid, and one sister, Martha Niederberger.
