Manor gets a new liquor store, pharmacy and real estate office
LIVINGSTON MANOR, NY — Representatives from all four
Pecks Markets stores joined Rockland County Supervisor Pat Pomeroy and Art
and
Beth Peck for a ribbon cutting ceremony on Thursday, August 7 at the
new Livingston Manor Spirits Wine and Liquors, adjacent to Pecks Market.
The
latest expansion of the Pecks cooperative enterprise gives Livingston
Manor its second wine and liquor store and offers people an alternative when
it
comes to purchasing wines and spirits.
Down the street, the new Medicap Pharmacy also had its ribbon
cutting this past week. Pharmacist Mark Wegener looks forward to delivering
personal attention to the people of Livingston Manor and nearby Roscoe, who
used to have to drive to Liberty or Walton for their pharmaceutical needs.
Next door is the new office of Elliot and Pomeroy Real Estate.
With the great revitalization going on in the area, the office is busy finding
homes for people who now have even more reasons to settle in the lovely town
on the Willowemoc Creek.
Children’s boutique and refurbished ice cream stand accentuate
Jeffersonville
JEFFERSONVILLE, NY — Behind Eliot Park you can find a new
children’s store called Baby Yellow Duck. Tim and Andrea Corcoran converted
an old garage into a children’s boutique that will feature fine
baby and toddler clothing and educational books and toys at reasonable
prices. The
store already has wonderful merchandise and more is arriving daily.
A grand opening is slated for sometime around Labor Day. Andrea
is from Brazil and has established a connection for importing some wonderful
clothes from her native country. The Corcorans bought the building, which
houses Eliot Park and Tegeler and Pfantstiel Real Estate. Their new boutique
is down the alley next to Eliot Park. For more information call 845/482-4880

Kelly’s Kones is serving great ice cream, including summer
favorites crème de menthe mint chip and kahlua amaretto. Customers who knew
owner Kelly Sattler from her days at Mullally’s Pub chuckle at
the alternatives to vanilla, chocolate and strawberry.
Kelly also serves hot dogs, hamburgers and cheese fries. The
stand will be open until the end of October. Fall days with A.Y.S.O. soccer
games will still be great times to buy delicious treats.
