SADIE (BUTINDARO) DORAN
GREELEY, PA — Sadie Doran, seamstress, died July 29, 2003 at
Wayne Memorial Hospital following a short illness. She was 72.
The daughter of the late Giovanni and Nicolina Liberty Butindaro,
she was born in Brooklyn, NY and resided in Levittown, NY.
Survivors include two daughters, Linda Giordano of Farmingville,
NY and Kathy Washburn of Levittown, NY; one son, John R. Marsh of Greeley,
PA; one sister, Mary Arbanese of Fairmount, WV; four granddaughters and five
grandsons.
MARY FAYBICK
MONTICELLO, NY — Mary Faybick, a seamstress for Helen Morrell
Elegant Fashions of Wurtsboro and a longtime resident of the area, died Friday,
August 1, 2003 at the Roscoe Community Nursing Home. She was 83.
The daughter of the late Stephan and Julie Laso Barna, she
was born November 21, 1919 in Czechoslovakia.
She was a member of the Ladies of the Knights of Columbus,
St. Peter’s Church of Monticello, AARP of Bethel and Bethel Senior Association.
Survivors include her daughter, Jean Schuberth of Smallwood;
six grandchildren; one great grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband of 25 years, Emil Faybik.
Memorial contributions in the deceased’s name may be made to
the St. Peter’s Church Building Fund, Monticello, NY.
HELEN GOETKE
ELDRED, NY — Helen Goetke, a homemaker and 28-year resident
of the area, died Saturday, August 2, 2003 at home. She was 75.
The daughter of Daniel and Celia Glynn Dresch, she was born
on June 10, 1928 in Brooklyn.
She was a member of St. Anthony’s Church of Padua, Yulan, AARP
and was active in the Highland Seniors group.
Survivors include her husband of 51 years, Tony Goetke, at
home; her son, Anthony Goetke and his wife, Diane; her daughters, Anne O’Neill
and her husband Sean of Hawthorne, NJ and Mary McEneaney and her husband,
“Scott” of Highland Lake; one brother, Dan Dresch; eight grandchildren, and
nieces and nephews.
Memorial contribution may be made to Hospice of Orange and
Sullivan Counties, 800 Stony Brook Court, Newburgh, NY 12550.
DANIEL KOLETAR
SAN DIEGO, CA — Daniel Koletar, a custom spa builder for Ultra
Bath in Escondido, CA, died Thursday, July 31, 2003 at Catskill Regional
Medical Center, Harris, as a result of injuries sustained in a motor vehicle
accident. He was 26.
The son of John and Judith Agrella Koletar, he was born on
November 26, 1976 in Monticello.
He was the husband of Sita Davi Koletar, who died with him.
Survivors include his mother, Judith Langenfeld and her husband
Edward of Rock Hill, NY; a daughter, Rasa Lila Koletar, eight and a son,
Chaitin Daniel Koletar, 11 months, both of San Diego; three brothers, Brian
Mieczkowski of Warwick, NY, Shane Mieczkowski of Rock Hill and John Reeves
of Mongaup Valley, NY.
He was predeceased by his father, John Koletar, who died on
July 24, 2003.
A unified memorial service was held for Daniel and Sita on
Tuesday, August 5 at Ramsay’s Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, a fund has been established for their children,

SITA DAVI KOLETAR
SAN DIEGO, CA — Sita Davi Koletar, a payroll supervisor for
Birmingham Press in San Diego, CA, died Thursday, July 31, 2003 in Kauneonga
Lake as a result of injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident. She was
25.
The daughter of Philip and Patricia Carrozza Gallelli, she
was born on September 28, 1977 in New York City.
She was the wife of Daniel Koletar, who died with her.
Survivors include her mother, Pat Carrozza of San Diego, CA;
her father, Phillip Gallelli and wife Lory of San Diego; a daughter, Rasa
Lila Koletar, eight and a son, Chaitlin Daniel Koletar, 11 months, both of
San Diego; four sisters, Priya Gallelli, Sunita Gallelli, Janaki Gallelli,
Daniella S. Holliday and her husband Kevin all of San Diego; two brothers,
Julien Strampello and his wife Melody and Arjuna Gallelli all of San Diego.
A family statement reads, “Sita and her husband, Daniel, radiated
with love and happiness. They were the embodiment of true love. Always in
the service of Krsna.”
A unified memorial service for both Daniel and Sita was held
on Tuesday, August 5 at Ramsay’s Funeral Home.
A second memorial service will be held in San Diego at a future
date.
Cremation was held at Cedar Hill Crematory, Middle Hope.

OLIVER LAWRENCE McCAGUE
MONTICELLO, NY — Oliver Lawrence McCague, an artist, entrepreneur
and outdoorsman, died Thursday, July 31, 2003. He was 29.
The son of Joan Curtin and Francis McCague, he was born on
February 13, 1974 in Manhattan, NY and grew up in the United States and the
Republic of Ireland.
Survivors include his mother, Joan and his father Francis;
his wife, Alpa Patel; two sons, Rikheil Patel and Conal McCague; his grandmother,
Joan Curtin; two brothers, Steven and Kevin McCague; as well as many other
family members in both the United States and Ireland.
Donations in Oliver’s name can be made to the family.
KATHLEEN (MILLER) TORRE
HAWLEY, PA — Kathleen (Miller) Torre, secretary for Philadelphia
Electric Co., died July 28, 2003 at Mercy Hospital in Scranton, PA. She was
77.
The daughter of the late Lillian Schenckle, she was born in
Abington, PA.
Survivors include her husband, James V. Torre of Hawley, PA;
one son, Daniel Torre of Quakertown, PA; two daughters, Deborah Torre and
Denise I. Dunn, both of Quakertown; one brother, Richard Miller of Hatboro,
PA; five grandchildren; one great grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.
MARIE M. WINGERT
LONG EDDY, NY — Marie “Mary” Malloch Wingert of Mountaindale,
a lifelong resident of Long Eddy and an employee in nursing homes and at
a state hospital, died Sunday, July 27, 2003, at her home. She was 78.
The daughter of the late Olin and Olga Littelle Malloch, she
was born March 27, 1925, in Long Eddy. She was the widow of John Wingert
Sr. who died September 9, 1989.
During war times, she worked in local factories. Her most important
job was being a dedicated homemaker for her family. Her countless hours were
spent singing, dancing, cooking, joking and spending time with family, which
filled many pleasurable days.
Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, John Jr. and
Linda Wingert of Mountaindale and Fred and Susan Wingert of Liberty, NY;
a daughter and son-in-law, Mary Jane and Jose Alcala; a sister, Lorene Caswell
of Sheridan, OR; a brother, Sidney Malloch of Madison, WI; a sister-in-law,
Viola Fulton of Cochecton Center, NY; a brother-in-law, Harry Wingert and
his wife, Libby of Yulan, NY; seven grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews,
cousins and friends.
She was predeceased by two sisters, Olive Hay and Helen Brush.
