By CHARLIE BUTERBAUGH

NARROWSBURG, NY — State police at Liberty say that Peter Lilholt, 54, of Yulan was involved in an accident while riding an ATV with his son on private property along Crawford Road in Tusten, just before 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 2.

Lilholt, who serves as commissioner of the Sullivan County Division of Public Works and is Town of Highland councilman, suffered a broken nose and arm, and was transported by Tusten EMS to Catskill Regional Medical Center in Harris, NY, where he was admitted and subsequently released.

No tickets were issued.

Deputy DPW Commissioner Phil Nicoletti said he will be managing the division during Lilholt’s recuperation, which Nicoletti expected to last about two weeks.
