33rd annual graduation ceremony at Sullivan BOCES

LIBERTY, NY — The Sullivan County BOCES held its 33rd annual graduation on Friday, June 13 at the BOCES Rubin Pollack Education Center. For a majority of these students, this marks the final step prior to entering the world of work. This year’s theme, “You Are The Future,” was reflected throughout the ceremony.

Shawn Ferguson was the class speaker and Heather Hinkley provided a special musical performance singing, “A Better World,” at the graduation ceremony. The President’s Academic Achievement award was presented to James Faraci, Tri-Valley Central School; the Peter Scursatone Memorial award (recognizing citizenship) was presented to Jessica Rose Boyles, Liberty Central School; The Gene Smith School to Work award was presented to Shawn Ferguson, Monticello Central School; the Sullivan Industries CASA award was presented to Cindy Pate, Monticello Central School; the BOCES Board award (recognizing academic improvement) was presented to Devin Bowers, Roscoe Central School; the Sullivan County Cares Coalition award was presented to Marta Colon, Fallsburg Central School; and the Thelma Newman Memorial award (overall outstanding graduate) was presented to Sunny Hoffman, Fallsburg Central School.
