‘Trees of the
Delaware Valley’

By TOM KANE

NARROWSBURG, NY — Narrowsburg artist, Margo Spoerri, will exhibit several new paintings at The Margo Spoerri Galley at 44 Main Street on Saturday, June 7 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m.

Spoerri’s show, “The Trees of the Delaware Valley,” will be on display in her gallery throughout the summer.

Spoerri’s works have been exhibited throughout the nation and in several countries in Europe. Besides oil paintings, Spoerri will exhibit several Gicle prints of her work, which result from a highly developed method of reproduction that resemble oil painting on canvas.

“These paintings reflect a reverence for Nature,” Spoerri said. “This area is so beautiful and it inspires me to paint it.”

The artist, who was born in New Albany, Indiana, said that the river valley revives memories of growing up in a similar countryside near the Kentucky border.

“These Friday evenings in Narrowsburg have become a regular gallery walk and an opportunity to see art, taste wine and dine at Dave’s Big Eddy,” Spoerri said. “The arts are alive and well in Narrowsburg.”
