Wayne Memorial teen volunteers

HONESDALE, PA— Wayne Memorial Hospital’s Volunteer Services Department is currently preparing for the 2003 Summer Session of the “Teens For Health” youth volunteer program.

The two-part goal of the program is to enhance the quality of care provided at Wayne Memorial Hospital and to introduce young people to various aspects of a healthcare facility to stimulate their interests in the many career opportunities available in the medical field.

Applicants must be at least 13 years old and have completed seventh grade.

Each teen volunteer applicant must submit a completed application, participate in a brief individual interview and successfully complete the volunteer orientation and training offered at various times throughout the weeks of June 16 and 23 and participate from the week of June 23 through Friday, August 29. Teen must have transportation and parental support to help them fulfill their volunteer commitment.
