ADELAIDE S. HAHN
CALLICOON, NY — Adelaide S. Hahn, a homemaker and former waitress,
died Sunday, May 18, 2003 at the Wayne Memorial Hospital in Honesdale, PA.
She was 86.
The daughter of the late Peter C. and Sophie Will Wahl, she
was born October 15, 1916 in Callicoon.
Survivors include her husband of 66 years, Franklin N. Hahn,
at home; a son and daughter-in-law, Franklin P. and Carla Hahn of Callicoon;
and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by four sisters, Leila Lott,
Frieda Beiling, Florence Rodriguez and Dorothy Moore.
Services were held at the Stewart-Murphy Funeral Home in Callicoon.
The Rev. Ignatius Smith, O.F.M., officiated.
Burial was in the Callicoon Center Cemetery, Callicoon Center,
NY.

BEATRICE E. KOBERLEIN
BEACH LAKE, PA — Beatrice E. Koberlein, a housewife and lifetime
resident of the area, died Monday, May 19, at home. She was 82.
The daughter of David Edward and Margaret Schuman Slater, she
was born June 23, 1920 in Kenoza Lake, NY.
She was a member of the Beach Lake United Methodist Church
and a member of the Welcome Lake Ladies Aid.
Survivors include her husband, Arthur Sr., at home; five children,
Margaret Cowger of Lake Ariel, PA, Arthur, Jr. of Beach Lake, PA, Harold
of Telford, PA, David of Califon, NJ and Karen Miller of Beach Lake, PA;
one sister, Martha Terwilliger of Fosterdale, NY; one sister-in-law, Gladys
Slater of Kenoza Lake, NY; many grandchildren and great grandchildren and
several nieces and nephews.

PATRICIA LUDWICK
UNIONVILLE, NY — Patricia Ludwick, formerly of Narrowsburg,
NY, died Thursday, May 15. She was 61 years old.
The daughter of Garwood and Evelyn Kriebel, she was born in
Dublin, PA on November 3, 1941. She lived for 11 years in Narrowsburg, NY
until 1974 when she and her husband and two sons moved to the village of
Unionville.
She was an accomplished church organist, serving in St. Paul’s
Lutheran Church in Narrowsburg, NY and the First Presbyterian Church in Ridebury,
NY. She served briefly as a feature writer for the “Union-Gazette” newspaper
in Port Jervis, NY and worked as a real estate appraiser for Humes Flynn
in Washingtonville, NY
Survivors include her husband, Dick; her mother, Evelyn Koder
and stepfather, Frank Koder of Telford, PA; a brother, Jerry Kriebel of Lake
Villa, IL; a sister Christina Trauger of Alta Loma, CA; two sons, John Barry
of Freeville, NY and David Michael of London, England; two daughters-in-law,
Armelle Lefebvre Czuy of Apalachin, NY and Dianne Seerden of London, England;and
a grandson. She was predeceased by her father, Garwood.
A memorial celebration will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday,
June 29, 2003 in the Village Park in Unionville, NY.

RUTH E. MCKEOWN
LAKEWOOD,PA — Ruth E. McKeown died on Tuesday, May 20, 2003
in the Wayne Woodlands Manor. She was 84.
The daughter of the late Herman and Liska Mekler Engelhardt,
she was born in Carlstadt, NJ. She attended the Lake Como United Methodist
Church and was a member of the Northern Wayne Fire Company Auxiliary. She
was a member of the Lakewood Sewing Club and the Pleasant Mount Bingo Club.
Survivors include two daughters, Diane Elizabeth Stiles and
her friend John Lillie of Pleasant Mount PA, and Kandi J. Smith and her husband
C. Daniel Smith, of Hawley, PA; four grandchildren, Kurt Stiles, of Uniondale,PA,
Jeri Faletta of Pleasant Mount, PA, Tracy Hartman and her husband, Michael
of Lakewood, PA and Keith Stiles of Alexandria, VA; and four great grandchildren.

Company, Lakewood, PA.
ALFRED J. NEUSCHAFER
LACKAWAXEN, PA— Alfred J. Neuschafer, a fourteen year resident
of Fawn Lake Forest and service technician at Bendix Aviation, died Sunday,
May 25, 2003 at the Julia Ribaudo Senior Care Center in Lake Ariel, PA. He
was 79.
The son of the late Alfred and Muriel Ohlson Neuschafer, he
was born in Schenectady, NY.
Survivors include his wife, Dorothy, at home; a daughter, Kathy
Jensen of Greenwood Lakes, NY; two sons, Thomas of Clifton, NJ and Alfred
of East Bangor, PA, and five grandchildren.He was predeceased by a son, Roy,
in 1994.
Funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family.
