I love to go a wandering…

HARRISBURG, PA — The Department of Conservation and Natural Resources (DCNR) and the Keystone Trails Association (KTA) are giving Pennsylvanians about 100 ways to take a hike during nine days in May.

The second annual Pennsylvania Hiking Week will be held in parks, forests, cities and towns across the Commonwealth from Saturday, May 10 through Sunday, May 18.

“For nine days in May, we are making it easy for people to jump-start their wellness programs or simply get outdoors to enjoy spring. We have something for everyone, from easy wildflower walks to strenuous mountain excursions into the remote woodlands,” DCNR Secretary Michael DiBerardinis said.

For a free copy of the Pennsylvania Hiking Week poster, call 717/772-9101.

For a complete list of hikes, log on to the PA PowerPort at www.state.pa.us, PA keyword: “hiking.”
