MARGARET CONNOLLY
HONESDALE, PA — Margaret “Peggy” Connolly died unexpectedly
Monday, April 14, 2003, at Wayne Memorial Hospital, Honesdale, PA. She was
59.
The daughter of the late Edward and Edna Ryan Connolly, she
was born in Brooklyn, NY. Connolly worked as a payroll clerk for Western
Union, was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, Post 311 and a member
of Queen of Peace Roman Catholic Church, Hawley, PA.
Survivors include four sisters, Janet Quinn of Brooklyn, Carol
Obojkovits, Kathleen Bader and Gail Barnes, all of Hawley, PA; and many nieces
and nephews.
A funeral mass was held Wednesday, April 16, 2003 at Queen
of Peace Roman Catholic Church. The Rev. William B. Healey officiated. Interment
will be in Green Gates Cemetery, Hawley.
GUY J. GILLETTE
ALLENTOWN, PA — Guy Gillette, formerly of Hawley, PA, died
April 1, 2003, at St. Lukes Hospital, Allentown. He was 76.
The son of the late Guy and Josephine Ciero Gillette, he was
born in Dunmore. Gillette was the proprietor of the Gillette Shopping Service
before his retirement and a Navy veteran of World War II. He was a member
of the Howard Peter American Legion Post 575 and Our Lady of Mount Carmel
Church, both of Allentown, PA.
Survivors include his wife, the former Dolores M. Schumann;
two sons, Guy and Michel; three daughters, Louise Wisser, Patricia Passaro
and Nanette Gillette; two brothers, Charles and Albert, both of Hawley, PA.
He was predeceased by a sister, Rose Marie Bebensee.
Funeral services were held Friday, April 3, 2003, in Allentown.
American Legion Post 576 held graveside services.
EDGAR W. HULSE
COCHECTON, NY — Edgar W. Hulse died Thursday, April 17, 2003,
at Wayne Memorial Hospital, Honesdale, PA. He was 81.
The son of the late Edgar W., Sr. and Anna Undriener Heinle
Hulse, he was born in Lake Huntington, NY. Hulse was a retired construction
superintendent with Carpenters Local 1342 and a veteran of the U.S. Army
Air Corps having served in the south Pacific in World War II. He was a member
of the Cochecton Ambulance, Lake Huntington, NY, and the Cochecton Preservation
Society, Cochecton, NY.
Survivors include his wife, Ethel, at home; one son, Edgar
III of New Jersey; one daughter, Debra M. Derr of New Jersey; three step-daughters,
Nancy Powell, Karen Healy and Gloria Garn, all of Lake Huntington; five step-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by a half brother, George Heinle.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, April 21, 2003, at Rasmussen
Sons Inc. Funeral Home, Narrowsburg, NY. The Rev. Thomas Jones officiates.
Burial took place, with full military honors, in the Lake Huntington Presbyterian
Cemetery, Lake Huntington, NY.

MILDRED M. ROLSTON
BEACH LAKE, PA — Mildred M. Rolston, a lifelong area resident,
died Thursday, April 17, 2003, at Community Medical Center, Scranton, PA.
She was 75.
The daughter of John and Minni Steffens Lassley, she was born
in Atco, PA. Rolston was a member of the Milanville United Methodist Church,
Milanville, PA, and the Willing Workers of the Church.
Survivors include her husband of 55 years, Emory Rolston at
home; three children, Duane and Stanley, both of Beach Lake, PA, and Patricia
Clemo of Waymart, PA; three brothers, John Lassley, James Lassley and Frank
Lassley, all of Beach Lake, PA; four grandchildren, two great-grandchildren;
and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held Monday, April 21, 2003, at the Milanville
United Methodist Church, Milanville, PA. The Rev. George Gallandorn officiated.
Burial will be in Hillside Cemetery, Damascus, PA.

WAYNE W. STEPHENS
HONESDALE, PA — Wayne W. Stephens died Monday, April 14, 2003,
at home.
The son of the late Norman J. and Cora Cosgrove Stephens, he
was born in Honesdale, PA. Mr. Stephens worked for CVS drug stores for 35
years as store manager and pharmacy manager until retiring in 2001. He opened
Northeast Med-Equip in 1991 and Stephens Pharmacy, Honesdale, PA. Stephens
was also a partner in Jadwin Associates, Honesdale and Northeast Sports,
and a member of the Wayne County Chamber of Commerce, the Downtown Honesdale
Revitalization Project, Trehab and the Honesdale Business Association.
Survivors include his wife of 35 years, the former Judith A.
Goodman, at home; a daughter, Paige Corso of Harleysville, two sons, Todd
Stephens and Wayne Stephens, both of Honesdale, PA; three grandchildren;
and cousins.
Funeral services were held Thursday, April 17, 2003, at the
Grace Episcopal Church, Honesdale, PA. The Rev. F. Graham Cliff officiated.
Interment followed at the Indian Orchard Cemetery, Indian Orchard.

JEAN B. TAG
JEFFERSONVILLE, NY — Jean Blair Tag died Saturday, April 12,
2003, at the Fish Memorial Hospital in Florida. She was 74.
She was a homemaker and the widow of Walter Blair, to whom
she had been married 30 years. She was a member of the United Methodist Church,
Jeffersonville and a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution.
Survivors include two brothers, W.T. Blair of Florida and James
Blair of Massachusetts; two sisters, Ella Elizabeth Mathews of Lake Luzerne
and Jane Carnell of Florida; and many nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at a later date in Pleasantville. Interment
will be in Kensico Cemetery in Mt. Pleasant.
WILLIAM H. TESSEYMAN, III
GLEN SPEY, NY — William H. Tesseyman, III died Thursday, April
10, 2003, at home. He was 62.
The son of the late William and Eva Gerry Tesseyman, he was
born in Long Island, NY. Tesseyman was a veteran of the U.S. Army and retired
from the Nassau County Dept. of Public Works.
Survivors include his wife, Priscilla Darch Tesseyman, at home;
four sons, William Tesseyman, Jr. of Binghampton, Charles Tesseyman of Glen
Spey, NY, Michael and Paul Tesseyman, both of Barryville, NY; two daughters,
Kathleen Miller of North Carolina, and Tracey Tesseyman of Damascus, PA;
a step-daughter, Debbie White of Glen Spey; a brother, Edward Tesseyman of
Florida; a sister, Linda Scott of Florida; and nine grandchildren. He was
predeceased by a sister, Doris Thorne.
Funeral services were held Sunday, April 13, 2003, at the Gray-Parker
Funeral Home, Port Jervis. The Rev. Douglas Lee officiated. Burial and committal
service were on Monday, April 14, 2003, at Calliccon Cemetery, Callicoon.
