Prayer for peace

MILFORD, PA — Organizer Mark Hoyt is pictured speaking to more than 30 activists, friends and neighbors who attended a February 27 interfaith candlelight vigil for peace in Iraq on the steps of the Pike County Public Library in Milford.

The vigil was the first public peace demonstration held in Pike County in reaction to the possible U.S. war with Iraq.

Hoyt told the crowd that all great fires begin with one small match, and encouraged the assembled group to continue to meet to work toward a peaceful solution.
