Supervisor’s race shaping up
LACKAWAXEN, PA — Ron Tussel Jr. has announced that he is seeking
the township supervisor’s position of incumbent John McKay.
Tussel writes an outdoors column that has appeared in the
Hawley News Eagle and the Wayne
Independent. He also hosts “Exploring the Outdoors,” a radio and nationally
syndicated television series.
In his announcement Tussel, 42, describes himself as a lifelong
township resident with a background in environmental consulting and community
planning. He is also a state certified sewage enforcement officer.
His online biography states he has BS degree from Penn State
University.
According to his announcement, “Tussel has worked with many
residents and community associations in Lackawaxen Township over the years.
“I was raised in Lackawaxen Township,” Tussel said, “and now
I am raising my own family in this township by choice. I love it here and
I plan to take a very active role in assisting the township to a successful
future while maintaining its integrity.”
McKay would not reveal his re-election plans at last week’s
supervisors meeting.
“I’ve had a lot of people talking to me about it,” he said.
