Rendell appoints Uguccioni

HARRISBURG, PA — Governor-Elect Ed Rendell has announced the appointment of Bob Uguccioni, executive director of the Pocono Mountains Vacation Bureau, Inc. (representing Carbon, Monroe, Pike and Wayne counties) to his Tourism Transition Committee.

The committee’s responsibilities include developing tourism policy recommendations for the administration and the initial screenings of job applicants for state tourism positions.

“I am happy to serve with the new Governor of Pennsylvania—Ed Rendell. My experience with him when he was mayor of Philadelphia is that he has a hands-on approach to travel, tourism, and convention marketing and development. I anticipate this will be his approach as Governor,” Uguccioni said.
