More water for Highland Lake

HIGHLAND LAKE — Fire department President Joe Mellan is pictured with the Highland Lake Fire Department’s 2002 International Tanker, which was delivered on August 2 and put into service on August 3.

The $161,000 vehicle was built by 4-Guys of Meyersdale, PA, and features 2,000 gallons of storage capacity and a 1,000-gallon-per-minute pump. It replaces a 1973 tanker with a 1,000-gallon capacity.
