Barbecue!

GREELEY — It was a full house this past weekend at the Greeley Firehouse yard for their annual Fourth of July weekend barbecue.

Fire department president Charles Steuhl, said this year’s turnout was as good as ever with more than 550 chicken dinners sold. “And the weather was perfect,” he added.

The annual event is the fire company’s primary fund raiser and a long time local tradition. According to assistant fire chief Bob Schmidt, the barbecue has been held on the “nearest Sunday to the Fourth of July” every year since 1958.
