Gazebo style

KAUNEONGA LAKE — Just in time for the Fourth of July, Bethel First’s gazebo park project is just about done.

With the recent installation of the gazebo, the park already provides a good view of the waters of Kauneonga Lake, just above the New York State boat launch. The formerly vacant land, on the corner of Route 55 and Lake Street, was landscaped by volunteers over the past year. There is still more work to be done, both on the park and in the rest of the area. A volunteer work day is scheduled for July 13. Those interested in helping out should meet at Vassmer’s at 8:00 a.m.

The park will serve as an excellent location to watch the annual Town of Bethel fireworks display at dusk on July 6.
