Times highlights Apollo merchant

MONTICELLO — Bookavenue.com, Inc., a four-year-old New Hampton company operating a retail outlet at Apollo Plaza, was mentioned as one of the leading bookselling sites on the Internet in a June 9, 2002 The New York Times Sunday Magazine article.

Listed with such Internet heavyweights as eBay, Amazon, Abebooks.com and Half.com, bookavenue.com was included as one of the major Internet sites that centralize the supply of used, rare and out-of-print books on the web.

Supported by local internet provider Pioneeris.net of Middletown and web-site designers WebExperts of Slate Hill, it’s a locally run and developed Internet success story.

Privately owned, it’s part of the Gutenberg Holdings family of companies, which includes Gutenbergholdings.com, one of the largest and oldest on-line sellers of used/rare/out-of-print books.

Bookavenue.com, Inc. is owned and managed by Helen Danilczyk and Rhett Moran of White Sulphur Springs.
