Motorcycle-crash

MINISINK FORD — Motorcycle operator Dan Hurley of Grahamsville is pictured receiving treatment on May 10, following a collision between his motorcycle and a car on the New York approach ramp of the Roebling Bridge on Friday evening.

Hurley, 45, reportedly was following a car driven northbound on Route 97 by Elsie Abrahamson of Yulan and apparently lost control of his cycle when both turned in toward the bridge.

A Sullivan County Sheriff’s Department spokesman said Hurley laid the bike down before striking the car fully, and suffered leg, knee and hand injuries. Abrahamson was not injured and no traffic violations were issued.

Hurley was transported to Grover Hermann Hospital in Callicoon where he was treated and later released. Yulan firefighters and the Eldred American Legion Ambulance responded to the 6:05 p.m. alarm.
