Spring along the Upper Delaware

MINISINK FORD — Roger and and Katlin Wirth of Pecks Pond, above, were among a covey of Delaware River anglers seeking the migratory and elusive shad on May 6.

Seasonal wildflowers like this ledge-hanging columbine are starting to appear along the river valley, and providing a show for those willing to take more time in passing than the minimum provided by the highway speed limit.
