Sullivan West romps over Goshen

JEFFERSONVILLE — Kyle Bright, Bulldog
pitcher, was master of the baseball mound last Monday,
May 6 limiting Goshen to one run. He also helped his
cause with a run-scoring double in the third inning.
The Bulldogs won by a score of a10
to 1. They are now 8 and 3 overall and 4 and 3 in
the league.
On two occasions, Goshen threatened
to open up the game with bases loaded each time, once
in the 4th inning and again in the 5th.
Both times, Bright got out of trouble.
The first time by striking out Mike Zan of Goshen
to end the threat. The second time he needed the aid
of his infield who came up with a well-timed double
play to squelch the rally.
The second was the Bulldog’s best inning
with four runs scoring after singles by Mike Popollilo
and Justin Pinkel and a double by Jake Sauer-Jones.
Four other runs by the Bulldogs came
in the 5th as the result of three errors by Goshen.
Bright’s record is now 4 – 1.
Mike Purcell took the loss for Goshen.
Their team is now 11 and 5 overall and 7 and three
in the league.
The game was not a league game.
