New Upper Delaware
superintendent
BEACH LAKE —
Making his first trip to the area following the announcement
of his appointment, incoming Upper Delaware National
Park Service (NPS) Superintendent David Forney is
pictured at a May 7 staff meeting at NPS headquarters.
Forney comes to the area after serving
as superintendent at the Little Rock Central High
School National Historic Site. He is a Pennsylvania
native, who received his Bachelor of Arts degree in
History from East Stroudsburg
and worked his first NPS position as a summer seasonal
at the Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area.
He is scheduled to begin work on July
1.
