NARROWSBURG — To commemorate its 100th
anniversary, the Narrowsburg Fire Department was presented
with a special pictorial postmark by the U.S. Postal
Service last Saturday, May 4.
The postmark, which will be available
at the Narrowsburg post office until June 14, was
especially designed for the occasion.
In addition, the postal service is
offering commemorative envelopes to mark the event,
which will include artwork and a brief narrative.
A ceremony marking the occasion was
held at the firehouse at 230 Bridge Street at 10:00
a.m.
Residents may also have a personal
item—with first-class postage affixed—cancelled with
the postmark through June 4.
The fire department is planning a July
6 celebration on Fireman’s Field.
