Lackawaxen man dead in Stroudsburg double-homicide

STROUDSBURG — Police say 27-year-old Daniel Fotiathis of Lackawaxen, and his 29-year-old brother Keith of Avoca, were gunned down April 24 by an unknown assailant as they sat in their parked van on South Street in downtown Stroudsburg.

Police are now searching for a black Nissan Maxima. According to several witnesses, the Nissan stopped and picked up a man near the scene just after the 11:30 p.m. incident. The suspect is being described as a black man, approximately six feet tall.

Sources close to the investigation are speculating, off the record, that drugs may have been involved, although no motive for the murders has yet been documented.
